The Second Annual Professionalism in Practice Conference will take place at the third floor of Coffman Memorial Union, 300 Washington Ave. S.E. Minneapolis, MN 55455-0110 on Tuesday, August 12, 9:00am-3:30pm. Check in and continental breakfast will be from 8:30am-9:00am. The first fifty people to arrive will receive a special gift bag. There will be two morning sessions, a lunch and keynote with Julie Landsman, and an afternoon session followed by closing remarks, a door prize drawing, and administering CEUs. You may view the most updated conference program at our website. Each workshop is first come, first served, based on availability of space.
The Minneapolis Federation of Teachers invites all participants to linger after the conference for a social hour in the scenic Mississippi Lounge. Enjoy refreshments and conversations and celebrate the professionalism of our conference presenters! Wine, beer, and light snacks will be provided.
Unless you are a volunteer, presenter, or special guest, your pre-registration is $20 must be received by Sharon Ornelas at the Minneapolis Federation of Teachers by July 30th. Registration includes breakfast, lunch, and CEU’s. Lunch will be catered by Coffman Memorial Union and will include sandwiches and salads. We have ordered both meat and vegetarian items, but should you have another specific dietary concern you may consider bringing your own lunch. On-site registration will be available for a fee of $30 and will begin at 8:30am.

Some of the workshops are technical in nature and your experience would be greatly enhanced by bringing your own laptop.
Some attendees have requested a scent-free environment due to severe allergies. Please avoid perfumes or scented detergents on this day.
The University of Minnesota College of Education and Human Development has issued a press release for the conference and by attending this event you give your permission for any images of yourself to be used in media.
